The Olive Sex Dungeon is a big, articulated streamer designed to move water, trigger predatory instincts, and eat large fish for breakfast. This premium streamer features a heavily dressed olive marabou-and-barred-feather profile, green flash accents, a stacked deer-hair head, and a prominent 3D eye that gives it a lifelike, predatory appearance in the water. The Olive Sex Dungeon pushes a massive water column as it swings and strips through the current, making it impossible for aggressive fish to ignore.
When to Use:
Best Time of Year: Early spring through late fall, with peak effectiveness during low-light periods, high and off-colour water conditions, and fall pre-spawn when large fish are actively feeding to bulk up.
Imitates: Large baitfish, sculpin, juvenile trout, and large leeches. The flowing marabou and barred feathers create a breathing, pulsing action that perfectly mimics a wounded or fleeing baitfish.
Target Fish: This is a trophy fly. Large bull trout and trophy rainbows in BC river systems are the primary targets. Equally devastating for northern pike across the prairies and Ontario when stripped aggressively. Largemouth and smallmouth bass will crush this pattern on the swing or retrieve. Also used for steelhead and large coho salmon in coastal BC rivers during fall runs.
Pro Tip: Strip it fast, strip it erratic, and don't be afraid to let it swing and hang in the current. The biggest fish often follow and hit at the last second just before you lift to recast. Use a hard, aggressive two-handed strip set when you feel the take.
